Do you have a bag of protein powder kicking around that you don't like? Maybe it has a weird texture or aftertaste. If you're like me you probably don't like the idea of just throwing it out. Well, don't give up on it yet. If you don't like it in shake form, try adding it to a simple snack: protein bites! Let's be honest, enough peanut butter and chocolate will hide anything.
These little balls are great for on-the-go snacks since they're packed with energy and they're satisfying. You could also eat them as a pre or post workout snack, especially if you don't like protein shakes.
Ingredients:
2 scoops protein powder (we do actually like this kind)
1 cup oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Mix all ingredients together and then form into balls. Store in the refrigerator.
