Ingredients:
1 cup dry brown lentils
1 cup uncooked brown rice
1 medium onion, diced
1 cup celery, diced
1 cup carrots, diced
½ tbsp curry powder
½ tbsp ground cumin
2 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp garlic, minced
1 tbsp seasoned salt
freshly ground black pepper, to taste (optional)
9 cups water
Put all the ingredients in a large pot over medium heat and bring to a boil. Stir, and then let it simmer on low heat with the lid on for about an hour, stirring occasionally.
